“We could not be more grateful and blessed to have had such a successful and amazing experience with SRM. We will forever recommend to anyone to go here first.”
We were very nervous to start this journey, and SRM made it so easy, welcoming, and comfortable. Especially after going through Madigan Army Medical Center for 2 years, and constantly hearing “no”, SRM felt like home. They took amazing care of us, answered all our questions where we understood exactly what needed to be done, and were extremely affordable especially us being a military family. As soon as we became pregnant, they followed up with us all through our pregnancy and even after to make sure things were going smoothly. They gave me the courage and faith to keep trying. Because of SRM, we get to spend our first Christmas as a family of three with our sweet son. We could not be more grateful and blessed to have had such a successful and amazing experience through SRM Tacoma. Thank you, Dr. Mazur, nurse Alexa and team. From the bottom of our hearts, you have completed our family. We will forever recommend to anyone to go here first.
“SRM helped change our lives in ways we never thought possible. We can’t say enough about how wonderful they all are.”
Our infertility journey started over 6 years ago. Once we began working with SRM we were given so much hope and possibility. This was more than we had before. Our team worked so hard for us to help give us an amazing outcome we never thought possible. We never felt like just another patient or another case, we felt cared for and supported constantly. We have so much gratitude for Dr. Cho and her team. My care coordinator was there for me every step of the way. Even during times, we weren’t actively doing treatment. This process came with so much loss and so many questions, but I never once questioned my team. SRM really is a great clinic to help through infertility. I wouldn’t think to go anywhere else.
“I was so nervous, being a single woman wanting to start my own family, but everyone was so welcoming, kind and encouraging as they walked me through the process.”
SRM Spokane has such an amazing team and staff! I remember being extremely nervous being a single woman wanting to start my own family, but all the nurses and doctors were so welcoming, kind and encouraging as they walked me through the process. They helped me achieve my goal of becoming a mother and my daughter is a continual reminder how blessed I was to find and work with the SRM Spokane Team! Thank you SRM!!
“To say we have felt embraced, accepted, and supported at SRM would be an understatement, the SRM team has become part of our family.”
As a same-sex couple, we had anxieties around how to even start talking about wanting to expand our family. From the moment we stepped into SRM, we knew it was where we were meant to be. During our initial appointment Dr. Cho took the time to discuss all options with us in a way that we could both understand. I have always found it easy to communicate with the team, they don’t make us feel dumb for asking many questions, they’re helpful in their responses and their response time is wonderful. Our SRM team has cheered with us when there has been success and mourned with us when we experienced multiple losses. Through it all, they have continued to give us hope with every cycle. To say we have felt embraced, accepted, and supported at SRM would be an understatement, the SRM team has become part of our family.
“My experience with egg freezing at SRM was outstanding! From initial consultations on Zoom to clinical visits to surgery to recovery, I felt incredibly well supported.”
My experience with egg freezing at SRM was outstanding! From initial consultations on Zoom to clinical visits to surgery to recovery, I felt incredibly well supported. As an epidemiologist, I was especially impressed and grateful with how beautiful Lindsay communicated with me about what evidence we do or do not have about egg freezing during the pandemic; I felt well informed and safe making the decision to do egg freezing now. She also helped me navigate questions I had about my ovaries, and how to interpret data for family size planning in the future; I felt like I could ask her any question that I had, and she was able to provide information and thoughtfulness. At each visit, the medical staff were SO KIND and warm, did a great job with each of my blood draws and ultrasounds. After each of my appointments, Bre called me with updates and checked in to see how I was feeling; having this continuity of service was fantastic! I chose to do egg freezing as a single, 34-year-old woman and started out nervous and alone. At every single step of the process, the staff at SRM helped me navigate next steps. The surgery team was a dream! I arrived to warm blankets and fuzzy socks (what a nice touch!), a personal welcome and introductions, and then each member of the team (nurse, anesthesiologist, and surgeon) came by my bed area to explain each step of the procedure and answer all my questions. Lindsay helped me interpret the clinical data from my egg retrieval and decide about multiple cycles. I cannot overstate how well supported and well informed I felt by the SRM team. I will be forever grateful for their excellent, well-organized, and warm care!! Thank you!
“I would highly recommend SRM to those looking for first-class reproductive care”
“I can’t say enough great things about our time with Dr. Mazur and his staff at SRM. Their services and care were exceptional, and we are thankful for the thoroughness and expertise that they provided to us. Ultimately, they offered us encouragement, hope, appropriate testing, and explained results to us that were realistic. Dr. Mazur and his staff are punctual, professional, and I would highly recommend SRM to those looking for first-class reproductive care.”
“They helped us navigate through one of the most personal and challenging situations of our life.”
My husband and I had an amazing experience at SRM in Kirkland. Every staff member so was so kind and understanding. They helped us navigate through one of the most personal and challenging situations of our life. I felt supported and informed through the entire process.
Infertility isn’t something anyone can prepare you for. We all grow up saying “when I have kids,” not “if I can have kids.” So, if the day comes where a doctor is telling you that you’ll need major intervention to have the family you’re hoping for, it will absolutely...
Like many women, my PCOS symptoms started to show up in my mid-late teens. I spent many years in and out of doctor’s offices for symptoms and even in the hospital for ruptured cysts without ever getting a diagnosis, or even having someone mention PCOS as a possibility.
PCOS was introduced to me at the age of 25. I was gaining weight, shaving my neck, and lamenting over my thinning scalp. When I was diagnosed, I had just gotten engaged and the news was unsettling, but the reality didn’t sink in until we started trying to grow our family.
The reality is that even after treatments and failures and successes, the diagnosis and experience of infertility will never leave you. Regardless of the outcome, you will arise after the dust settles. What you do with yourself after that is up to you. Dust off, take a deep breath, and take your first steps to seeking help and support.
Like most guys I spent most of my adolescent life under the impression that if I had sex there was a 98% chance of a resulting pregnancy. Almost like I was a marvel superhero and the power of male fertility was something I was born with and had to use with extreme responsibility.
Going through all the miscarriages was hard, honestly one of the hardest things I have gone through, one of the hardest things my marriage has gone through, but I do believe I am stronger for it.
It only takes, “one moment” of looking at her family to make, “every single second of infertility treatments ‘worth it'” for SRM patient, Brandi. It may be a long path to parenthood at times but with a community behind you and the promise of those “one moments” at the end, it’ll all be “worth it”.
December is here which means the holiday season is in full swing. For many families, this time of year is one of the toughest to get through and is a strong reminder that something is missing. With that in mind, SRM Physician Liaison, Marcie Guthrie decided to share her personal story as well as a few tips that helped her navigate the emotional and stressful waters of the holiday season.
The path to parenthood is different for everyone and infertility can impact anyone, even an infertility nurse. In honor of National Infertility Awareness Week, we asked one of our wonderful nurses to share their story. We hope it encourages you to share your own infertility story.
SRM patient, Nicole Harding shares her story in the hopes of breaking the stigma surrounding infertility. We hope her journey through infertility gives you hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel and the family of your dreams is possible.
“It’s all about the people helping you along the journey.”
That’s how Keith and Brian describe their journey to becoming parents; and they had a lot of people helping them along the way!
