Dr. Angela C. Thyer felt a calling to the women’s health field early in her medical training. Though the constantly evolving nature of the Reproductive Endocrinology field fascinates her, her primary concern is being an empathetic, knowledgeable, and welcoming guide for her patients as they each traverse their unique path to parenthood.
A founding partner of SRM, Dr. Thyer is highly regarded for her expertise in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, or PCOS. She is an expert in guiding patients through both low-tech and high-tech fertility treatments including individualized stimulation protocols, In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Preimplantation Genetic Screening (PGS), and fertility preservation.

Dr. Thyer has been awarded a number of research grants focusing on PCOS and its treatment with both medication and dietary changes. She has also completed research in ovarian aging and egg freezing. Her interest in the combined use of traditional and alternative medicine therapies is reflected in her practice, guiding patients to choose the treatment modality that is optimal for their individual situation, whether that is via lifestyle modification, medications, or high-tech treatments. Dr. Thyer also performs female reproductive surgery focusing on hysteroscopic treatment of fibroids and Asherman’s syndrome.
Dr. Thyer was graduated from Duke University on the Dean’s list with distinction and earned Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honors from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Oregon Health Sciences University and her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Texas, San Antonio. Following her fellowship, she was on the faculty at the University of Washington. She received an award at the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society in 2015 for looking at the cost effectiveness of PGS, an Award for Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the Cincinnati OBGYN Society, The Gynecologic Laparoscopy Award from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and The Resident Research Award from the Oregon American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She was awarded a Seattle Best Doctor from Seattle Magazine in 2013.
She is triple Board Certified in OB/Gyn, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and Lifestyle Medicine.
Dr. Thyer sees patients at the Bellevue and Seattle locations. When she’s not working, she loves to spend time with her husband and two daughters biking, hiking and enjoying the outdoors. Cooking, health, and fitness also interest her and are important components of her balanced approach to life.
