HSG

At the request of a local Seattle Area treating physician or ARNP, SRM can provide HSG services for patients. Patients are often more comfortable with our setting, knowing our dedication and expertise in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

The benefit of having SRM perform the HSG over a standard radiology practice are as follows:

• A physician specially-trained in the uterine anomalies and tubal issues is performing and evaluating the HSG. As a result, they can offer additional expertise, upon request, after viewing "live" the radiologic study.
• SRM routinely uses a special oil-based dye that standard radiology practices do not use that has been shown to enhance (for a limited period of time) a patient's potential for fertility. Most radiology practices utilize a less expensive water-based dye. At SRM, we are committed to, not only the diagnostic value of the HSG, but also the potential therapeutic benefit.

To schedule an appointment, the physician or office representative can contact our office at 206-301-5000 or fill out the referral form and provide minimal medical information to have the HSG performed by our Fertility experts. A written report will then be mailed back to the referring physician/ARNP for further evaluation and management. Results are released to referring professional for further communication to patient.

Patients are welcome to schedule themselves, however please ensure we receive the physician referral before the patient calls. Referrals can be faxed to 206-285-4555.
