Rebecca Halverson, BS
Rebecca received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry,
with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Washington
in 2003. From early 2002 to the summer of 2003, she worked
with the current SRM physicians in their research laboratory
gaining valuable laboratory experience in ovarian tissue processing.
After receiving her degree, she began her career as a clinical
embryologist in the IVF laboratory at the University of Washington.
Recognized as a valuable team member, the SRM physicians recruited
her to SRM in the fall of 2004. Having grown up in Montana,
Rebecca brings with her a contagious positive attitude and
humor to the sometimes mundane and serious aspects of the
embryology laboratory. Her personal interests include reading
and the outdoors. “I also love exploring new places
and old ones. Especially going back to Montana as much as
possible to ski, hike, and camp. Montana will always be home
to me.”
“I appreciate my job because it's not only challenging,
but rewarding for me and the patient. Although we have limited
contact, I really am very excited when the outcome is positive
and bummed when it's negative. I hope they know we're rooting
for them.”
