Nursing

Darla Bacus, RN

Darla joined SRM in June, 2006. She has over 12 years of clinical nursing experience with main focus in women healthcare. She started her career in geriatrics, progressed to clinical RN duties in a multispecialty office. Finding a passion for women’s health, she worked for 6 years for a full-time obstetrics and gynecology practice and served as a nurse leader in training and orienting new nurses and medical assistants for the practice. Looking for the next step, she became clinical nurse supervisor in 2003 responsible for many administrative duties such as hiring new staff, performance evaluations, schedules, fiscal responsibilities, training of new staff and accreditation maintenance with medical regulation boards.

Finding that she loved taking care of patients especially in the field of women’s healthcare and looking for a new challenge in an area that is rapidly changing, SRM was privileged enough to gain a talented nurse with so much experience, affable personality, team-oriented work ethic, dependabilty and very well organized.

She is the RN at our Eastside Facility in Bellevue and she currently serves as the primary RN for any patients INITIALLY seen there.

On a more personal note, she likes to spend time with her family and pets, making glass beads, gardening and reading.

“It is pleasure and a privilege to work with the staff and patients at SRM. I can appreciate that patients are going through times of uncertainty and my wish as a fertility nurse is to make the experience as positive and informative as possible.”
