Terry Ball, RN

Terry Ball
Nursing, Tacoma

Terry comes to SRM with extensive clinical and community nursing experience. She fulfilled her lifelong goal of becoming a nurse in 1997, earning her BSN in nursing from Pacific Lutheran University. Since then, she has gained clinical experience in many areas of nursing including labor and delivery, pediatrics, OR, and blood donor specialist RN for Cascade Regional Blood Services in Tacoma. She has recently spent many years working for the Bethel School District as district school nurse with responsibilities such as: providing direct care and planning for students with special health needs, health screening, emergency planning, and overall health specialist within the school setting. Also during this time, as adjunct professor for Pierce College, she designed and taught "Introduction to Wellness" providing continuing education credits for school district staff working toward their associate degree and salary progression. Previous to nursing school, Terry spent many years working in the financial services industry, involved in client service.

Terry brings to the large nursing staff we have here at SRM, a mature personality, quiet demeanor, sense of humor, and, most importantly for her colleagues but also for her patients, a warm smile. She believes that patients are people with myriad of life stresses in addition to the desire to become parents, and treating patients with compassion, empathy, and, most of all, patience, is vital to providing holistic patient care.

"I came to SRM because I saw an opportunity to be a part of a team of medical professionals committed to providing truly holistic, patient-focused care. The team work here is quite amazing. It is very gratifying when you can come to work very day knowing that you have the honor of making such an important contribution to people's lives."

On a personal note, Terry loves spending time with her family. She also enjoys cooking, jewelry making, drawing and boating. She is also a distance walker and exhibits her commitment to improving women's health and community service by walking the 60-mile Seattle Breast Cancer 3-Day each September raising funds to provide breast cancer prevention services in our community, and also funding for research to hopefully end breast cancer in our lifetime.

Terry is the primary nurse for Dr. Paul S. Dudley, our provider in Tacoma office. If you have questions, please call her at 206-301-5018.
